Once again, industry professionals will gather in Tampere at the end of September (27th -29th) for the Alihankinta Subcontracting Fair. Last year the fair went ahead but due to the pandemic some restrictions were still in place. This year, a record number of visitors are expected to attend as restrictions have been eased.

Environmental issues have dominated the news in recent years and for good reason. Although the use of steel is not in itself environmentally harmful - steel is 100% recyclable - there are many environmental impacts associated with its manufacture. The steel industry has also faced challenges and Tata Steel has created its own strategy on how to become a carbon neutral player. We call that path from the current situation to carbon neutrality Zeremis. Zeremis stands for zero emission and describes Tata Steel's journey and ambition. Zeremis is also the theme of our exhibition stand this year, where we will show our customers how Tata Steel has planned to transform its steel manufacturing and how our customers can already benefit from the many actions we have taken. At the fair we will also showcase the already familiar Magizinc and Valast wear steel.
